Published in the June 1995 issue of Worth Magazine, Random Walk by Edward Gorey is a self contained story in four panels. I am not sure if this is a solid business plan, but the second panel shows a customer looking in from outside the door and the fourth shows a potential client observing the item of the week.

Really love this page. Not only is it funny, it's also beautifully designed. Each panel is able to stand on its own, plus the overall page looks wonderful! Genius.
