I’m pretty sure his first paid illustration was one of the covers for The Harvard Advocate, but can’t recall which was first, as he did two that year.
I’m not sure of the last — was it by any chance his cover of The Sibyl in Her Grave by Sarah Caudwell? He died in April and the book was published in July.
A+ on both answers. https://goreyana.blogspot.com/2022/09/the-harvard-advocate-covers.html
I knew I’d read it someplace! What about the final piece???
Yay! I’m very excited that I have both Harvard Advocate magazines (they are beyond fragile), as well as a nice copy of Sarah’s book (I haven’t read the book yet). Im looking forward to the exhibit! I’ll be driving down from the Cape to enjoy,
(I didn’t initially see the top line of your response!)
