It's Hard To Keep A Bad Man Down - Edward Gorey's Dracula Returns


The Alley Theater in Houston, Texas will be mounting a revival of Dracula this fall featuring the iconic costume and scenic designs of Edward Gorey. Previews begin October 3, and the play runs from October 8 through November 2.

Edward Gorey won a Tony Award in 1978 for his masterful costume designs for Dracula. Contact the Alley Theater for tickets here.

This is wonderful news, although living in Australia, I sadly won't get to see this revived production, as much as I'd love to! *sigh*

So sorry you all didn't have the opportunity. I was surprised with tickets by my beau this past Friday night; he didn't even know I was a fan, and I didn't know it was in town! I saw Frank Langella on Broadway in Edward Gorey's production and absolutely loved it. Edward Gorey's costumes, set and stage designs, poster and prints were terrific. Every detail was phenomenal. Even the ittle bats on the curtains had glowing red eyes. Wish i'd known about this and had a magic carpet to view it.
